THE MUSIC REVIEW
Incognito @ The Mezz Bar
After a two year hiatus Newcastle band, Incognito reformed to play a session at The Mezz Bar last Saturday night. Featuring all original members. A good crowd in early, is always a good sign of a good night of live music.
Incognito haven't played the venue with the original members since the closure of the old downstairs room, before the club proceed with its massive renovations now known as the Mezz Bar.
Whilst backstage with some members of the band I asked, as I usually do at the gig." you all good to go.?" The reply from some members, "feeling a little nervous." Well you wouldn't really have noticed but understandable, nervous energy at a guess? As mentioned they haven't played on stage together for almost two years.
After some stage volume issues with their first set, Incognito settled into the rhythm of the night, playing all those classic tune their renown for. In all the guys played a great session seeing they hadn't played together for a couple of years. "It was just as they left off two years ago." Good musician's doing what they do best, playing live music.
I'm sure Incognito will return to the venue in the near future.
Keep the Music Live.
