For those of you who may not know us, we are a Country Music Duo based in Newcastle, the gateway to the Hunter Valley in New South Wales, Australia.
Our Duo comprises John Wilson on Lead Vocals and Acoustic Guitar and John Lightfoot on Bass Guitar, Computer Programming and Backup Vocals. We both play and recommend Maton Guitars. John W. plays a 2000 Acoustic Maton EM 225 and John L. plays a 1968 Maton Ibis Bass.
We performed our first gig at the Commonwealth Hotel in Newcastle on Friday 18th March, 1988. How could we ever forget that gig!
Our aim is to continue to do our best to provide the very best quality Country Music at our gigs, whether the style be new or old, for the enjoyment of all who come to see us perform.
Our band of loyal supporters has grown steadily over the years, for which we are grateful, and now includes friends we catch up with at our regular gigs from Sydney to Forster to Tamworth.
Thanks guys for your support which you give to us week after week after week. Put simply, we would not have any gigs if it wasn't for you and we want to take the time now to thank you all sincerely for supporting us.
UP DATE: WILSON & LIGHTFOOT performed their last official gig on 31st December 2004 at Wyong RSL Club.
